i know i say this every month but i am sooo obsessed with pep right now. i just can't get enough.
she has the best posture and is most always stiff as a board. just like oskie was.
when she's excited she sits up straight with her arms out and wiggles her fingers and points her toes. maybe my favorite thing ever.
she's getting so chubby with lots of rolls.
she's liking solids much better now and sometimes freaks if i don't feed her fast enough.
she's getting really loud. in a cute way. saying dadada and screaming just to hear her voice.
still no hair even though every day i say to myself "it's really coming in!"
i had pep cry it out this month and she's done pretty well although we still aren't quite finished with the process.
she loves to breast feed and i love every second. except the clawing part.
i want to french kiss her because her breath is so sweet.
i think her eyes are going to turn green.
she has such a great laugh and thinks i'm the funniest. then daddy. she loves her daddy.
she still loves tv.
pep figured her jumper out this month and loves it. i think she's going to be a dancer with the way she points those toes.
i want her to always be 7 months old because we are kind of obsessed with each other.

oh man i want to freeze her right now. minus the sleep factor. she's getting up a million times a night wanting to party.
she's finally getting some hair although very little. i think it's quite light maybe?
pep rolls at her daddy but loves her mommy most.
she has such an attitude if you put her somewhere she doesn't want to go.
she is sitting up and playing on her own and loves it.
she's getting two teeth on bottom.
pep loves when i sing and dance for her.
she thinks osc is funny sometimes but annoying sometimes too.
the first time she tried cereal she kind of liked it but the second time wanted nothing to do with it.
she has the sharpest little nails and is constantly clawing at my face and neck. very lovingly though.
she has the sweetest breath and i never want to stop kissing and squeezing her.

this girl loves her grandma bernice and it makes me so happy.

oscar kept his wise man outfit on for two seconds and instead jumped off this chair during the whole nativity story. pep was baby jesus.

my mom gave osc a vacuum and he hasn't stopped playing with it since. he calls it his gammy. that's how he's always said vacuum and we can't figure out why.

pep helped me get all the toys out and ready. i loved how it all turned out.

i can not believe this girl is 5 months old. time is going way to fast with her around.
she is honestly the sweetest thing in this world.
she usually takes a really good nap in the morning and still gets up several times at night to eat. i can't bring myself to make her cry it out yet which is funny because i had oscar do it at 4 months!
she's starting to try and sit up more and will chew on anything you put in front of her.
she tries to put her binky in her mouth and gets really frustrated when she can't do it right.
pepper loves to talk really loud and it is hilarious. she smiles and squeals and i love it.
she and oscar love each other so much and have just lately started laughing together. i die over it.
when she's mad she lets you know by screaming this girly moan and it's kind of funny.
pep still loves to stand at all times just like her brother did.
she got really sick this month and it was so so sad.
i can't stop kissing her. even while i write this. i'm so in love.

these were taken last week when pep was herself. she has been sick with the same virus oscar had two weeks ago and had to get the same tests done. such a nightmare watching your baby scream while someone pokes her with needles. she's finally feeling better now and the fever has broken. heaven. i am so thankful for healthy kids.

i shot another nap time the other day because oscar usually doesn't nap at all anymore. instead he gets quiet time in there by himself. i'm always curious how it goes so i filmed again. the problem this time was that this was actually a really calm day. usually his drawers are pulled out and shoes everywhere and books torn up. you win some you loose some.

this girl is so smiley and happy i can hardly stand it.
she is really starting to giggle now.
sometimes i'll be doing something and look down at her and she is just smiling up at me. i die every time.
she still doesn't have much hair.

pepper is a mamma's girl and i love it.
i think she's teething because she's constantly chewing on her hands and slobbering.
she loves the swing and always falls asleep in there.

sometimes when she's eating she'll suck for 2 seconds and then pull off and look up at me with the biggest smile ever. then she'll go back and do that over and over like its a game.
when i blow my lips like a motor boat she tries to copy me by blowing bubbles out of her mouth.
she makes the cutest girly sounds.
she's also already quite dramatic like a girl. she'll be so happy one second then freak out with a fake cry.
she claws at my boob with her sharp little finger nails when she eats and it hurts sooo bad.
she really is perfect and i'm obsessed with her.

halloween was so fun this year because oscar was old enough to actually really enjoy it. we had to take his salt costume off because the wires were poking out and tripping him. he was so cute marching around with that pumpkin. saying trick or treat and thank you and walking into people's houses. too bad he would only eat candy for dinner.

i watched this movie while i nursed the last two nights and never wanted it to end. i fell so in love with this sweet and genuine person that i ended up with tears in my eyes. which is big for me. from what the movie portrayed he seemed to me very christ like. he didn't get caught up in celebrity status and treated everyone as equals. he never had a romantic relationship in his life and cried when talking about how he needed to go to church each week. i was so touched by him. absolutely loved this movie.

mine and shelby's kids are all one year apart so they all play together pretty well. we are glad we have them. oscar and owen flowered pepper with flowers in the last shot. they thought that was pretty funny and she thought it was very luxurious.

i was trying to film pepper smiling and cooing but of course once i pulled the camera out she stopped and oscar needed the attention.

this one makes me roll because one minute before i filmed this he had made up a really funny dance move where he stepped back and then fell onto the bed. i told him how cool it was so he kept doing it until he flipped off onto his head. sounds sad and it was a little but more hilarious because he was so proud and serious about the dance move.

again my baby girl. every time i pull the camera out she stops doing what i want to film. still pretty cute though.

oscar has a canker sore on the tip of his tongue and he's getting his molars. to say that the last couple of days have been hard would be an understatement. he hasn't slept and neither have we. although i did get a good nap today thanks to my mom. this video was taken before pep came. i miss this oscar so much and pray that his mouth will feel better soon. real soon.

on monday heirloom will be doing a fundraiser for clifford family farm which is where they get a lot of the food for the restaurants. brian built a mobile pizza oven and they will be cooking pizzas for everyone who comes. i think they are also roasting a pig too! and i'm sure there will be other yummy food from the farm. they are trying to raise money for a new tractor. it will be a lot of fun and i'm planning on taking my two kids so i hope to see you there! tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door. you don't need a paypal account to purchase, just click "Don't have a Paypal account?" at the bottom of the screen or you can buy tickets at either the pizzeria or communal. the farms address is 1730 south geneva road in provo. it's from 6 to 8 pm on labor day. come!

on sunday we blessed pepper at home. it was perfect. except that it was 200 degrees. i thought so at least. all i do is sweat. but the blessing brian gave was beautiful and so was pep. she wore the dress my sisters and i were blessed in and my mom made her little shoes. i am so obsessed with her. isn't she an angel?

brian has built quite the set up outside on our deck for oscar to run around and pepper loves the noise of the traffic out there so we spend a lot of time outside. (when we aren't watching toy story 3 of course). also thank you SO much for all of your kind comments and advice about that. it made me feel so much better.

my dad stopped by and we looked at this picture of him and his twin as babies and could not get over the resemblance to pepper! what do you think? twins right? i mean triplets i guess..

this is what we watch at least 5 times a day. and i'm not exaggerating. it's all oscar wants to do. he sits on the couch watching and is in heaven. it's the only thing that will calm him down. i never thought i would let my kids watch tv like this but what can i do when i have to feed pepper and they are both screaming? am i a terrible mom? tell me this is just a stage and it will get better. i had a couple break downs this week. i just feel like i can't get the hang of having two kids. i just hope i can do a better job soon. you know? i was just able to give oscar everything for two years so i feel like neither child is getting enough from me now. i thought at six weeks it would suddenly work but i'm still waiting.

lori and i took the kids to sundance a few weeks ago to run around. i got eaten by flies. i think they could smell my milk because they didn't touch lori. it about did me in. that and the 2 screaming kids i had with me. thank heavens lori helped so much. anyway i added this years pictures to last years video. pretty cute kids.

every time my mom holds pepper she says it's like she's back in time holding me because i guess she looks like i did at that age. but now that i'm posting these i think maybe she looks like i did more in everyday life and not so much in the pictures i have posted of her. sometimes i see the resemblance and other times i think she looks exactly like oscar did. it's funny isn't it that we want our kids to look like us?

she was born with the biggest dimple in her right cheek and a cleft in her chin.
her hair is a light brown with a hint of red.
she has smiled at mom several times and it is the sweetest lopsided smile ever.
she is starting to coo a little bit.
pepper has the strongest neck ever and is always arching her back to see everything.
she gets quite fussy usually at night but thankfully the 5 s's work.
she does not love the binky but i am not giving up hope that she will soon.
when she cries she cries loud and hard and with a frown on her face.
she is a good eater and her little belly is always so full and big.
she sleeps well for a newborn but we are still always tired around here.
she loves to just gaze at mommy and daddy.
oscar is obsessed with holding and kissing her. also with grabbing her hand really tight and sometimes biting her fingers. and when he hears her cry he says "ooh baybee".
pepper hates her car seat and will scream in it until she falls asleep or until mommy gets her out.
she has my exact feet with a space between the big toe and the rest.
she also has the prettiest eyelashes.
she sometimes looks exactly like oscar did at this age and sometimes not.
if you want to wake her up you just need to put her in her crib.
pepper loves her bath.
so far her eyes are blue.
she is a perfect angel and we love her so much.

i just want to thank my mom for helping me through these first weeks with pepper. she has saved me. she got up in the night with me and took care of oscar completely for two weeks. and now she lets me nap at her house when i need to. she is always there for me and my family and i am so grateful to her. i pray i can be half the mother she is. i love you so much mom.

when pepper was one week old we started taking her just about everywhere. these were taken at a splash park.

and these were at seven peaks. i'm trying to catch up on my blogging. now that she's a little older i'm starting to wonder if it's easier to just stay home. i love to get out and i love to take oscar out but it's getting harder now. one of the kids is usually screaming. brian and i tell each other a lot that this is the hard part. that it's going to get easier. and it will. i just may not shower for a while or leave the house. and i think i'll stop feeling guilty about oscar too because he really is doing just fine. i mean look at that face.

i was scheduled to be induced on the 7th. i had been working maybe a little too hard trying to get everything done before that. cleaning and gardening and what not. maybe that put me into labor and maybe not. regardless pepper was coming early. on the 5th i woke up having contractions. i thought at first it was diarrhea cramps but an hour later i realized they were coming about every 5 minutes and lasting about a minute. i never thought i would go into labor because i was induced with oscar so it took me a while to catch on to what was happening i guess. so i told brian and called my mom but i still thought it was no big deal. i started getting things together and within the hour i was really hurting. the contractions were coming quick now and i knew we had better get to the hospital. we hurried into a delivery room and the nurse checked me. she said i was at an eight. i couldn't believe it. i was in A LOT of pain but still surprised to hear i was an eight. the anesthesiologist gave me a spinal and an epidural so i would immediately feel numb. dr. judd was on vacation until that night and i was so sad. i had them call him anyway and my nurse came in to tell me that he was driving home early so he could deliver my baby. so we waited and she wouldn't check me again for fear of breaking my water. an hour later dr. judd came in wearing his boating gear and broke my water. pepper had meconium so they flushed me out for another hour with water. then it was time to push. he had me push one and a half times and then he slowly pulled her out. no stitches! which was seriously heaven. dr. judd covered her crotch so we couldn't see the gender. i saw something and thought it was testicles so i said "it's a boy!" then he moved his hand and we saw that it was a girl. we couldn't believe it and were so excited! it honestly took a while to set in. even though i thought girl the majority of my pregnancy i never let myself really believe it. they sucked her out real quick then let me have her for skin on skin. it was pure heaven. brian called my mom and i called jenny. that's when the crying started. (she has 4 boys). we named her pepper which is a family name on my dad's side. she only weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces which was small for me because oscar was 8 pounds 11 ounces. she latched right on to feed and my milk came in in the hospital. i feel SO blessed to have had a perfect and healthy baby girl and such an easy delivery. she really is an angel and we love her so much.
